Terms of Service
Last updated: March 2, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the credentialdapp platform and related services (the “Service”), operated by LEC Group Inc. (“we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and LEC Group Inc. Please read them carefully.
2. Service Description
credentialdapp is a Credential-as-a-Service (CaaS) platform that enables individuals and entities to obtain verifiable KYC credentials on the XRP Ledger (XRPL). Users complete identity verification, pay a credential fee, and receive an on-ledger XRPL Credential that can be used to access permissioned financial services.
We provide the technology platform to facilitate identity verification and credential issuance. We are not a bank, financial advisor, or regulated financial institution. We act as a trusted credential issuer on the XRPL.
3. Eligibility
To use the Service, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Hold a valid XRPL wallet address with sufficient reserves for transaction signing
- Complete identity verification (KYC) as required by applicable regulations
- Provide accurate and complete registration and verification information
- Not be located in a sanctioned jurisdiction or listed on any sanctions screening databases
4. Account Registration
You may register using email and password. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the security and confidentiality of your account credentials
- Safeguarding your XRPL private keys — we never store or access your private keys
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or are involved in suspicious activity.
5. Credentials & Verification
When you apply for a credential, you agree to the following:
- Identity Verification: You must complete KYC verification through our partner (Sumsub). You agree to provide genuine identity documents and truthful information.
- Credential Issuance: Upon successful verification and payment, we issue a CredentialCreate transaction on the XRPL. This creates a public, on-ledger record linking your XRPL address to a credential type.
- Credential Acceptance: You must sign a CredentialAccept transaction from your wallet to activate the credential. This signing happens entirely in your browser — your private key never leaves your device.
- Validity: Credentials have a defined expiry period (typically 1 year). Expired credentials must be renewed through a new application.
- Revocation: We reserve the right to revoke credentials if we discover fraudulent information, regulatory non-compliance, or Terms violations.
6. Payments & Fees
- Credential Fees: Each credential type has a published fee payable in XRP or RLUSD on the XRP Ledger. Current pricing is displayed during the application flow.
- On-Ledger Payment: Payments are made directly on the XRPL to a designated payment address with a unique destination tag. We verify payments on-ledger before proceeding with credential issuance.
- Network Fees: Standard XRPL transaction fees apply for payment and CredentialAccept transactions. These are paid by you directly to the XRPL network.
- Refunds: Credential fees are generally non-refundable once verification has been completed. If credential issuance fails due to a system error, we will work with you to resolve the issue or process a refund.
7. XRPL & Blockchain
You acknowledge and agree that:
- Credential data stored on the XRP Ledger is publicly visible and immutable
- We cannot reverse, modify, or delete on-ledger transactions once confirmed
- You are solely responsible for the security of your XRPL private keys
- Loss of access to your XRPL wallet may prevent you from accepting or using your credential
- XRPL network performance, fees, and availability are outside our control
8. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Submit fraudulent, forged, or stolen identity documents
- Use the Service for money laundering, terrorist financing, or any illegal activity
- Apply for credentials on behalf of another person without proper authorization
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
- Interfere with the proper functioning of the Service
- Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without permission
- Circumvent any security measures, rate limits, or access controls
9. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, code, branding, and content, is the property of LEC Group Inc. and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service without our express written permission.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure at all times
- Credentials will be accepted by all XRPL operators or platforms
- The XRPL network will remain operational or unchanged
credentialdapp is a technology platform, not a financial institution. We do not provide investment advice or guarantee access to any specific financial service.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LEC Group Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of access to XRPL credentials, loss of private keys, or failed transactions.
Our total liability to you for any claims arising from the Service shall not exceed the total credential fees you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LEC Group Inc., its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, submission of fraudulent identity documents, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
13. Termination
You may close your account at any time by contacting support. Upon termination:
- Your access to the Service will be revoked
- Existing on-ledger credentials remain on the XRPL (they cannot be deleted from the blockchain)
- We may revoke active credentials associated with your account
- Pending applications will be cancelled and any unprocessed payments refunded
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, submit fraudulent documents, engage in prohibited conduct, or if required by law.
14. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. The arbitration will be conducted in English.
You agree to resolve disputes on an individual basis and waive any right to participate in class action lawsuits or class-wide arbitration.
15. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you disagree with the changes, you should stop using the Service and close your account.
